Air Pollution Closes Bangkok Schools

The worst air pollution in Bangkok has brought normal life to a standstill.

According to international media, more than 350 schools have been closed in the Thai capital Bangkok due to air pollution.

Announcing this, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said that it is closing all 352 of its schools due to poor air quality in the city.

The announcement said that online classes will be held to save students from the educational loss caused by the closure of schools.

It should be remembered that in Bangkok itself, 437 schools had to be closed due to air pollution in 2020.

According to the Swiss-based air quality monitoring company IQAir, Bangkok is currently the fourth most polluted city in the world.

According to the company, the air quality is currently so bad that it can cause dangerous diseases.

On which local authorities have instructed citizens not to leave their homes unnecessarily.

Citizens were also instructed to ‘work from home’, while heavy vehicles were also banned from entering the city.
